Photographer

Jim Richman

By the age of 12, Jim was documenting special events at school, parties, and baseball games. His uncle, a professional photographer, inspired and further developed Jim’s talent. By the end of high school, he joined the Boston Camera Club, where he soon earned several awards.

Later while working at New England Aquarium, Jim became head of the Temperate Marine Gallery. This was a unique opportunity to photograph  underwater! Soon his works were published in newspapers and magazines, including The Boston Globe’s Parade publication.

Today Jim lives on Cape Cod which provides inspiration for his work. His style has a spiritual quality where the essence of place, and nature is revealed with reverence and serenity.

The body of Jim’s work includes fine art photography, portraiture, and commercial projects. He continues to seek images that resonate, compel, and inspire.
